| Mark Templeton was the one of three children of the late Eugene & Mildred Templeton. Growing up in a musical family, Mark quickly learned to play and sing the "Blue Ridge Mountain Way". Mark began his professional career in 1969 where he performed on banjo at a local school for a cakewalk. On the way home he said "Wow! Dad, I think we could start a band". Hence came the first Templeton family bluegrass band "The Stony Run Troubadours". 35 years, 22 albums and many miles throughout North America later Mark is still entertaining crowds the same way his daddy taught him. All these years his #1 goal has been to serve his Lord Jesus Christ in all that he does. Mark travels and performs at Churches, Bluegrass Festivals and any other venue that showcases bluegrass & Gospel music. He is an accomplished banjo, guitar, bass & piano player and has his own recording studio. He has recorded under QCA records, Sonshine records, ACA records and is currently recording under Hillside records. When you attend one of Mark's concerts you will be sure to be entertained & blessed plus you will hear the Blue Ridge mountains calling you... |
